RAVMAC are working with BSI (British Standards Institute) to support the technical research and development of Digital Interoperability Standards here in the UK.
The “Made Smarter Review” published in 2017 recommended the need to accelerate digital adoption through ‘Implementing a Standards Development Programme (including cyber-awareness and best practice) for emerging digital industries to promote the greater interoperability of IDTs’. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/made-smarter-review.
Engaging with practitioners from across industry and technology sectors globally, including Automotive, Aerospace, Food, Pharmaceutical & Utilities, the BSI project will gain a powerful insight into the challenges faced by industry relating to digital adoption and the role of digital standards.
Mark McNally – Owner/Director at RAVMAC Ltd, commented ‘this is a great endorsement of RAVMAC’s industrial capability and global network, and we look forward to continuing our support for BSI’s ambition to establish and harmonise digital interoperability standards for the UK’.
‘Anything we are able to do to de-mystify and support all scales of business, by removing barriers to digital adoption, through greater interoperability between SME digital technology providers and UK manufacturing businesses can only be a positive move for the UK economy’.
BSI & RAVMAC welcomes feedback from SME digital technology providers and industry users engaged with digital integration, please contact us to share your experiences.
